Im not sure who coined the phrase or came up with the method.  Ive seen various claims online...

One thing I do know for sure is that this method WORKS and has changed my moisturizing life.  As someone with hair that has a difficult time retaining Moisture, this method has changed the game.  Its simple. its easy and you can start your L.O.C journey with our products!  Liquid followed by Oil followed by Cream....simple as that.

 

Moisturized hair begins with WATER....the oils we use are just sealing that water in, so obviously the first step is making sure your hair is damp....not soaking wet but nice and damp.  I recommend using a liquid leave in as well like our Morning Mist to start sealing that moisture in.  Secondly, you can use any oil of your choice (coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, etc...).  Lastly, for the coup de grâce you use a cream moisturizer like our best seller Mango Coconut Sushine to lock the moisture in for days on end without a heavy sticky feel.  

 

I guarantee your hair will never be the same again!  

The last two steps (Oil and CREAM) can BE INTERCHANGED AS WELL....i BELIEVE IN OUR MANGO COCONUT SUNSHINE SO MUCH THAT i HAVE BEGUN SKIPPING THE OIL STEP ALL TOGETHER FOR MY PERSONAL USE AND OCCASIONALLY SEAL MY ENDS WITH ONE OF OUR MOISTURIZING POMADES.

Its broken into three main layers as you can see.  We want to be able to get water into our cuticle and keep it inside so it can nourish the inner two layers, the cortex and the medulla.  Your cuticle is raised, the degree to which it is raised depends on genetics, your hair type and level of damage it has suffered.  Hair with high porosity tends to let moisture in easyily but also lets its out just as easy.
